Founded in 2010, CreativeLive was itself acquired last year by Fiverr, a platform that connects businesses with freelancers offering a variety of digital services. CreativeLive operates as an autonomous organization.

CreativeLive founder and CEO Chase Jarvis said in a press release that “his company’s roots run deep in photography” and that’s where his “true passion lies.”

“The acquisition of and its content underscores our continued commitment to this space and to ensuring the future success of photographers around the world,” said Jarvis. “Photography is also a large and robust category on Fiverr, so there’s an incredible opportunity for photographers to learn new skills through new CreativeLive content and then monetize their new skills on the Fiverr platform.”

Wildist was founded in 2018 by photographer Alex Strohl and brand innovator Laura Schmalstieg. The company will be integrated with CreativeLive and Wildist students will have full access to workshops and memberships through the CreativeLive platform.
